With the motive of making smartphone accessible to most of the people in India and support from Indian Government, Ringing Bells has launched world’s cheapest smartphone – Freedom 251 in India, which is priced at INR. 251 (NRS. 400). According to latest stats, only 14% of people in India are using smartphones, as we can consider it a bold move from the company and Indian Government to increase the accessibility of smartphone among people.
Even though the smartphone is priced such low at NRS. 400, the smartphone packs pretty decent specs. The Freedom 251 features a 4-inch qHD display, inside it is powered by a quad-core processor coupled up with 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. Camera wise, the smartphone features a 3.2MP rear camera and the whole smartphone is powered by a 1450mAh battery. With the price it is available to people, there is not much room to complain about.
For now the smartphone is only available in India, as we have no words about the availability of this smartphone outside India.
