Chinese company – Xiaomi has entered into probably the most exciting market right now, and it’s none other than the world of drones. After manufacturing various accessories like powerbank, fitness tracker, Bluetooth speaker, action cameras and even air purifier, we can say that Xiaomi as a company is not afraid to experiment new things. The Mi Drones was rumored a while ago, now the recent release by Xiaomi has put those rumors into end, which makes things more exciting than it is.
The Xiaomi Mi Drone was revealed today, with feature like 4K recording capability, which looks absolutely exciting. The Mi Drones is the courtesy of Xiaomi’s subsidiary Cai Wei and Flymi. The drone is a compact piece of carbon fiber body which makes it quite light to use, and with other features including a removable camera, landing gear and blades the drone will be portable for travelers.
Focusing on the main thing, the Xiaomi Mi Drone rocks a 12 MP camera manufactured by Sony with six element lens and three axis image stabilization. As stated by the company, the base model of the drone has ability to capture Full-HD videos, whereas the top end premium model can capture 4K resolution videos at 30 FPS.
That’s not the only thing the Mi Drone has to offer on the table, the Mi Drone has a FPV which can be used by sticking a phone, attached to the controller. As stated, the Xiaomi Mi Drone has capability of recording a live 720p video at a range up to 2 km, which is not a common thing especially at this price range – $380 for base model whereas $457 for the top end model with 4K video recording.
The Mi Drone is powered by an impressive 5100mAh battery from LG or Grepow, which as per the company can help the drone to fly upto 27 minutes over a 3 km area. The smartphone app offers varieties of features like GPS tracking, auto take-off, flying by routes, landing and hover, as well as automatic return back home if the signal is lost.
The Mi Drone is a fantastic companion for those drone fanatics and lovers who are looking for an upgrade for impressive features. The Mi Drone will be available from May 26 while the 4K model is expected to be available from July. We can expect the Mi Drone to be available in Nepal, soon.
