New details has been published about Samsung reportedly launching the devices with foldable and rollable screens in 2017. As per Bloomberg, the handset entitled as “Project Valley” by Samsung is tipped to be launched in next year’s Mobile World Congress – an annual show about Mobile tech.
As per the report from Bloomberg, Samsung will launch the both device which includes a phone that folds over onto itself, like a purse, possessing cosmetic compact feature (featured below), whereas the other will feature an expandable chassis or body which can be expanded from 5 inch mobile into a tablet sized device (featured above). The report also adds that neither of these two devices will be dubbed as part of Samsung’s flagship brand – Galaxy S lineups, although it will probably be part of the Android community.
Previous report suggested us that Samsung has been working on its flexible OLED screen technology, and the Korean giant is not shy to show up its progress at display shows and conference. We won’t be surprised if Samsung releases such foldable and expandable displays, since Samsung has already been manufacturing it’s Edged smartphone, starting from the Galaxy Note Edge as well as it’s infamous Galaxy S6 and S7 Edge smartphone featuring dual edged displays, as well as curved televisions.
