It’s time for some Android goodness as Google has pushed the final and official version of Android 7.0 Nougat for users who are graced with Nexus devices. Google confirms that the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Pixel C, Nexus Player and Android One smartphone will receive the OTA(Over The Air) update within coming weeks, while some users who have been rocking Nexus device will receive the OTA update today. If you’re currently using the supported Nexus device and haven’t received the OTA update yet then there’s nothing to be worried about since the update phase will take about weeks to complete. But then again if you are really impatient about the new update then you can obviously head over to Google’s developer website and flash the official image of Android 7.0 Nougat right now on your Nexus device.
Alongside the official update, Google has also published the official Android site regarding Android Nougat. Although, the new update won’t be much of a difference compared to Marshmallow update, it’s worth taking a look at the website to know about the nitty gritty of Android 7.0. If you’ve already been using the Android 7.0 Nougat Developer Preview 5 then the final build is pretty much likely to stay like that in terms of feature but will definitely top it in terms of performance and stability. Some notable feature of Android 7.0 Nougat includes a dedicated VR mode, Vulkan graphics API, Doze on the go for better battery life, direct replies from notification similar to that of iOS, data-saver, file-based encryption, direct boot so you don’t have to wait each time you update your phone and more. The official website pretty much states that the brand new flagship from LG which is none other than V20 will be the first smartphone to be glorified with Android’s latest and greatest 7.0 Nougat.
