Huawei Mobile Nepal has officially launched the GR5 Mini in Nepal for the price of Rs. 23,500. The GR5 Mini is the miniature version of Huawei GR5, which was launched a year ago in Nepal.
The Huawei GR5 Mini features a 5.2-inch 1080p display which is comparatively smaller to GR5’s 5.5-inch. Inside, the smartphone is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 650 octa-core chipset bearing a respectable clock speed of 2GHz Cortex-A53 as well as 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. Even though the GR5 Mini is a miniature version of Huawei GR5, the smartphone tend to feature upgraded and powerful chipset. Alongside, the new Kirin 650 SoC, the GR5 Mini is also baked with an interactive and intelligent i5 co-processor, which as claimed by Huawei will be helpful for day to day activities like sensor hub, speech recognition, Fused Location Provider navigation, alongside more effective and efficient location-based system. In case you are wondering, the phone also features a v2.0 fingerprint scanner which is believed to unlock the phone in mere 0.5 seconds. The fingerprint is not limited to phone’s security only as you can use the sensor to take selfies and answer phone calls too.
Connectivity options of the phone include a support for dual-SIM with 4G capability, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and a GPS. The whole phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Huawei’s EMUI 4.1. The whole phone is powered by a Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) 3000mAh battery.
