The authorized distributor of Infocus phones in Nepal Prism Technologies have officially launched two of their smartphone in Nepal. Entitled as M370i and M808i the smartphone has been launched with the view of competing against the likes of Xiaomi and Huawei in Nepal. Users purchasing any of these two smartphones will receive a VR headset for free as an introductory offer.
Talking about the first one, the InFocus M370i is targeted for users seeking budget-oriented smartphone. Priced at Rs. 13,999 the InFocus M370i features impressive specs which make it the budget phone to be desired. The smartphone sports 5-inch HD LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Inside, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core budget chipset clocked at 1.1GHz alongside Adreno 304 GPU. The smartphone is backed up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB. Camera wise the InFocus M370i features an average 8MP primary camera with LED flash and 2MP front facing camera. Other specs include a removable 2230 mAh battery, dual-SIM with 4G capability, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of InLife UI.
Highlighting its second variant – M808i – the smartphone features powerful specs compared to the first one. As far as the specs are concerned, the InFocus M808i features 5.20-inch Full-HD LCD display (1280 x 1080) protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3. Inside, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6753 quad-core chipset bearing a clock speed of 1.2GHz and Mali T720 GPU. Coupled up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, the smartphone can handle day to day multitasking with ease. Camera-wise, there’s a 13MP sensor on the back of the phone with flash accompanied by a 5MP sensor up front. In case you’re wondering, the InFocus M808i packs a better 2450mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 on top of InLife UI. Connectivity wise the smartphone supports dual SIM with 4G capability. The InFocus M808i can be purchased for the price of Rs.21,999 in Nepal.
While most of the people in Nepal are opting for smartphones from Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Huawei, it will be interesting to see – InFocus – the American-based brand competing head to head against the likes of mid-range phones from other brands(especially Xiaomi, Gionee and Huawei). That being said, the InFocus M307i and M808i can somehow be called a good option for people who are wandering around in search of a smartphone without shelling out more cash.
