Apple has pulled the drape off their latest & long awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus which boasts both major and minor changes in terms of hardware as well as design. Carrying an IP67 certification the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are now water & dust resistant and can last up to 30 minutes under a meter of water.

The iPhone 7 borrows similar design language from its predecessor – iPhone 6, while few modifications include the new placement of antenna bands. Instead of antenna band being placed at the back it’s now placed at the top and bottom edges on the back making the iPhone look a tad bit cleaner.
In case you’re wondering, yes, as rumored the headphone jack is gone from the iPhone 7 leaving you with two options- one with plugging a headphone to lightning port whereas the other one tends to be using wireless headphones. Apple will provide a headphone with lightning cable inside the box alongside a 3.5mm to a lightning port adapter(thanks to Apple for not selling it separately). Don’t worry Apple has launched the new wireless AirPods with Infrared sensor which will be sold separately($159). The new major change that Apple has made to its new iPhone lineup includes an addition of stereo speaker as well as a pressure sensitive Home Button which users won’t be able to physically press it. Instead of that, the new Home button will now reply with a haptic feedback when touched.
Taking a look at the camera, the new iPhone 7 sports a 12MP camera with f/1.8 aperture rate with six element lens making it an excellent companion for low light photography, there’s an Optical Image Stabilization as well which was missing from the iPhone 6. As stated by Apple, the new lens on the iPhone 7 is now 60% faster and 30% more efficient than its predecessors. There’re two high-efficiency cores which now run at 20% less power than the rest of the remaining powerful cores. The new GPU of iPhone 7 is now more powerful which is 50% superior to its A9 chip as well as draws only 66% of power making it efficient as well.
The iPhone 7 will go on sale from 16th of September with 3 different variants including a 32GB base model which will cost you $649. There’re also 128GB and the new 256GB model priced at $749 and $849 respectively. The iPhone 7 will be available in 5 color option including the new Jet Black, Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver.
iPhone 7 Plus
The iPhone 7 Plus is an inflated version of the iPhone 7 with dual camera and large display. The new iPhone 7 Plus now sports a dual 12MP camera at the back making it similar to LG’s V20 and Huawei’s P9. Thanks to its dual 12MP camera, the iPhone 7 Plus can now capture the image with 2x more zoom.
The new dual camera in the iPhone 7 Plus includes one wide angle 28mm lens whereas the other one tends to be a 56mm telephoto unit. In case you’re wondering, the both sensors at the back are 12MP with an aperture rate off f/1.8 which works wonder to produce an excellent low light shot as well as achieve more depth of field while portrait photography. The dual lens builds a depth map and irradiates background from the subjects producing an exceptional shot. Up front, there’s a 7 MP camera for those selfie fanatics.
