While users are still craving for flagships and expensive smartphones, Microsoft has silently announced its brand new feature phone – the all new Nokia 216. The Nokia 216 might not be an appropriate option for users seeking to use Instagram or Viber but you might want to consider it as your backup device as the battery on the phone won’t easily give up on you.
Specs wise the Nokia 216 is just an ordinary phone(NO! Android) integrated with 2.4-inch color LCD display with a mere resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Surprisingly the phone comes with a dual VGA camera – one at the back(of course) and the one at the front, both featuring their own LED flash.
In case you care about specs, the Nokia 216 is backed up by not so huge 16MB of RAM, which is just an ample memory to process it’s Series 30 OS and Opera Mini Browser that comes pre-loaded on the phone. In case you wanna carry some more stuff in the phone or transform it into a usable MP3 player, the phone comes with a support for microSD card slot and those infamous contact restriction up to 2,000 people.
Connectivity option includes basic 2G(there’s a dual-SIM model too), Bluetooth 3.0, and a stereo FM module. Unfortunately, there’s no WiFi option in the phone, if in case you want to use the basic internet like Google on the go. The phone includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB 1.1. port below. The phone comes with a removable 1,020mAh battery, enough to run for a whole one day and is priced at INR. 2,495 (NRS. 3,992, exclusive of tax). However, there’s no word of availability about the Nokia 216.
