The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has finally entered in the Nepali market with their three new models including, Oppo F1s, Oppo A37 and Oppo Neo 7. The phone was presented to all the media personnel at an event held in Kathmandu. The all three new smartphone are targeted for users seeking a cheap alternatives and will go head to head against other mid-range rivals in the market.
Oppo F1s
Talking about the first and the powerful one, the Oppo F1s is an attractive smartphone mainly focused for users craving for vibrant selfies. The main noticeable feature of the phone tends to be its 16MP front camera with a 1/3.1 sensor and an aperture rate of f/2.0, however, there’s no LED flash at front.
As far as other specs are concerned, the Oppo F1s boasts a 5.5-inch 720p display protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 4. Inside, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6750 octa-core chipset bearing a clock speed of 1.5GHz with Cortex-A53 CPU. There’s a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage(with microSD slot) baked right inside the smartphone. The phone is integrated with a home button below the screen which acts as a fingerprint scanner too.
Even though the phone features an impressive 16MP front facing camera, the back, however, sports a 13MP camera with 1080p video recording feature making the phone mainly focused on selfies. Taking an in-depth look at its front camera, the “Selfie Expert” is backed up with Oppo’s Beautify 4.0 feature with an additional support of other selfie features like selfie panorama and live filters.
The Oppo F1s runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and packs a 3,075mAh battery. The Oppo F1s will cost you Rs.32,390 and can be purchased from any authorized resellers in Nepal. (Update: Oppo F1s is now available in 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant in Nepal for Rs. 31,999. The 3GB variant has been discontinued.)
Oppo A37
Taking a look at its second model, the Oppo A37 is priced at Rs.21,590 in Nepal. While the Oppo F1s is mainly focused on the selfie, the Oppo A37 is specifically targeted for budget conscious users seeking an attractive and sleek design(7.7mm in thickness).
The Oppo A37 features a 5-inch 720p display with a protection of Gorilla Glass 4 and a 2.5D glass complementing its looks. Inside, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. The A37 is backed up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card slot. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint scanner on the phone.
Talking about the camera, the Oppo A37 is graced with an 8MP primary camera with 1/3.2″ sensor accompanied by an aperture rate of f/2.2. Up front, there’s a 5MP camera with f/2.4 lens for selfies. The phone is significantly less powerful when it comes to megapixels, however, the 1.4μm lens might result in ideal photos in low light. There’s also some beautification features and an added Ultra HD mode that produces 24MP pictures from its rear camera. The whole smartphone is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 and packs a 2,630mAh battery.
Oppo Neo 7
Talking about the last one, the Neo 7 is the least expensive one in this list carrying a price tag of Rs.14,990. The low price tag definitely comes with some compromises and less impressive specs. The phone features a different body when compared to its counterparts, thanks to its glass and metal combination.
As for the specs, the Oppo Neo 7 features a 5-inch TFT LCD display with qHD resolution(540×960). Right behind the screen, the phone is powered by the familiar Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.2GHz. The phone is coupled up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
Coming to the camera section, the Oppo Neo 7 comes with an 8MP camera with a 1/4″ sensor at the back. Up front, there’s a 5MP camera for those selfie fanatics. The Oppo Neo 7 is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Color OS 3.0 and packs a smaller 2,420mAh battery.
