Just after 4 days of the On7 launch Samsung has once again expanded their On lineup with the new Galaxy On8. The recent recursive launch of Samsung’s mid-range lineup proves that Samsung has been hustling hard to expand the list of their new lineups.
Launched in India the new On8 features 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display proving to be a significant upgrade to ON7’s LCD panel. Inside the phone is powered by an unspecified octa-core chipset, however, it is rumored to be the Exynos 7870 octa. The phone is backed up by 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage expandable via a microSD card.
Camera wise the new On8 boasts a 13MP primary sensor at the back with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. Up front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera. The whole phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 3300mAh battery inside. Connectivity option includes support for 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and GPS.
As far as pricing are concerned the Galaxy On8 will carry a price tag of INR. 15,990 and will go on sale from 2nd of October exclusively on the Flipkart. The word of availability of the Galaxy On8 outside India is yet to be made.
