Before the smartphone revolution, everyone of us had our photos taken and printed. Though, all the images nowadays are either saved on social media or in the cloud. So, to digitize these old printed photos, Google has introduced PhotoScan app which allows everyone to take old photos and save them digitally along with a few updates to Google Photos app.
According to Google:
PhotoScan is a new scanner app from Google Photos that lets you scan and save your favourite printed photos using your phone’s camera.

Google is also rolling out a new update to the Google Photos app adding some new image editing features. The app will now come with 12 new image filters do be used with the photos. There is also a new option of auto enhancement which adjusts the exposure and saturation of the photos.
There is also ‘advanced’ editing tools by Google which allows users to tune the photos, including highlights, shadows, and warmth.
