As speculated, Gionee has officially launched the M2017 in China. The main highlight of the handset tends to be its two 3,500mAh battery, a total resulting in a humongous 7,000mAh battery.
The Gionee M2017 sports a 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The phone houses a Snapdragon 653 chipset, 6GB of RAM with two storage options, including 128GB and 256GB — unfortunately, there’s no microSD card slot.
As for the camera, the phone sports a dual camera at the back with 12MP+13MP sensor with LED flash, whilst selfies are taken care by 8MP front camera. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and features a fingerprint scanner at the front.
The phone carries a base price tag of RMB 6,999(approximately $1,010), while the top variant with Italian alligator leather back will cost you RMB 16,999(around $2,446). Gionee, however, is yet to mention anything about its availability outside of China.
