Facebook is not showing any sign of slowing down as they are stacking the Messenger with loads of features. Facebook Messenger now supports group video calls, a handy feature which made its debut on Skype, earlier this year. While the group voice call and a single video call feature were already available before, the new addition is touted to skyrocket the Facebook Messenger daily users.
The group video call can support up to six people at the same time, whilst 50 people can join the call via voice or just listen to the group call. After the screen fills out with more than six people, members will be able to see the commanding speaker only.
Despite the negative review, users were requesting to see the group call feature. And now after its availability, we believe the feature will be well received by most of the users. The feature is starting to hit most of the Android and iOS devices from today and probably will be seen in most of the handset in coming days since the feature isn’t geologically restricted.
As stated by Facebook, around 245 million people use the normal video calls each month, which we reckon will gradually increase after the new group calls feature. To enjoy the new functionality you must update your Facebook Messenger to the latest version.
