Xiaomi has once again dived into the electronic vehicle segment, this time being its new electric scooter entitled as Mijia. Since the Chinese company has already launched a range of other electronic products including the air purifier, television, drone and laptops, this one is no exception for us.
The new electronic scooter is a cheaper alternative to most of the option available in the market. Fitted with a 280Wh battery(from LG) and 500W motor the Mijia can approximately carry 75kg person while traveling around the range of 30km at a speed of 25km/h. For safety purpose, the scooter from Xiaomi comes with regenerative braking as well as a disc brake, surprisingly with an E-ABS(Electronic Anti-Braking System). For portability purpose, the Mijia can be simply folded in three seconds.
The Mijia can also be connected to a smartphone, thanks to the smartphone app that comes with it. The app provides various information about the scooter’s battery, speed range, and warns users about the problem, if in case anything goes wrong.
The scooter which will be available in two colors including black & white for the price of CNY 2,000($290) and will go on sale from 15th of December in China.
