Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg loves challenges every year. The talented CEO had openly announced that building a personal AI system in 2016 would be his challenge. The AI, as mentioned would not only prove to be beneficial for home, but also for his work.
Albeit the year is coming to an end, Mark has finally given a sneak peek of the system. Dubbed as Jarvis, the AI system(with Morgan Freeman’s voice) — as shown — currently assists him to do several household tasks via voice & text, like receiving information about events & weather, playing music based on personal selection, turning lights on & off, make toasts, opening the gates of the house, and even entertain kids.
It nearly took him one year to master the system, which mostly relies on Facebook tools for image and voice recognition. Despite the system portraying coolness, there’s still work to be done to make it more mature and refined; the system isn’t quite consistent while responding to voice commands. During the announcement of Jarvis, Zuckerberg also mentioned that the system will help him visualize his data through VR to help him lead his organization more efficiently. However, the VR is nowhere to be seen in the video for now.
As stated by Mark the system definitely won’t be a part of Facebook, but it’ll surely help to improve other consumer grade products and systems. With that being said, after observing the video we can say that we’re heading into the future where humans will mostly rely on AI systems.
