Vatsal Impex – the authorized distributor of Xiaomi phones in Nepal has officially launched Mi 5s. The phone is available for pre-orders in Nepal for Rs. 45,999 in Nepal from 3rd of January 2017 to 6th of January 2017. After the pre-booking period, the phone will go on sale for Rs. 49,999 in Nepal.
Launched back in September in China, the Mi 5s houses metal uni-body with the brushed metal finish on the back. The phone sports 5.15-inch 1080p IPS LCD display possessing a maximum brightness of 600nits. Underneath, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset accompanied by a 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The phone also comes with a seamless ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, courtesy of Qualcomm Snapdragon Senes ID which makes it more accurate and harder to fake.
As far as the camera is concerned, the Mi 5s boasts a 12MP Sony IMX 378 sensor at the back with f/2.0 lens, PDAF, and LED flash capable of producing a similar or better image than Galaxy S7 Edge and iPhone 7. There’s also a 4MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The dual-SIM phone comes with 4G support, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band MU-MIMO 802.11ac WiFi, NFC, and A-GPS with Glonass and BDS support. The phone boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with guaranteed Android 7.0 Nougat update and packs a 3200mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support.
