After debuting F3 Plus in Nepal, OPPO has once again arrived with another selfie expert OPPO F3 in Nepal. Just like its sibling, the main highlight of this mid-ranger tends to be its dual selfie camera at the front but lacks some power. The smartphone can be purchased for Rs. 35,490 in Nepal from any authorized retailers located across the nation.
Hardware? Meh!
As far as specs are concerned, the OPPO F3 comes with a 5.5-inch Full-HD display resulting in a pixel density of 401 ppi. Covered with metal body and a Gorilla Glass 5 display, the phone sounds quite premium and safe to handle. Underneath, the phone is powered by a mediocre MediaTek MT6750T chipset with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, while the RAM and onboard storage is 4GB(LPDDR3) and 64GB respectively.
Camera? One of the best, but that’s it?
The OPPO F3 shines a lot in the imaging department, all thanks to its over-advertised dual camera setup at the front. The phone shines the self-proclaimed dual selfie camera at the front — the first one is a 16MP 1/3.1″ sensor with f/2.0 aperture, while the second one is an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The back, however, consists a single 13MP 1/3″ sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a LED flash capable of recording 4K video at 30fps.
The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box on top of Color OS 3.0 and packs a 3200mAh battery with a support for VOOC fast charging. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the front which dubs as a home button. Connectivity option of the phone includes a dual-SIM slot with 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi a/b/g/n, A-GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port for data exchanging.
Verdict – Not worth it, at least for non-selfie fanatics
The OPPO F3 is no doubt a great smartphone for selfie lovers, however, aside from the camera specs, the phone fades away in most of the area, including the processing power(which will affect image processing too). While the specs are still bearable, the price range of the handset undeniably makes it a no go for us, considering that there are other reasonably specced alternatives available in the market which provides a good value for your money.
However, if you are ready to compromise the phone’s overall performance for the sake of good selfies then the handset might be a right choice for you. But if selfie is not your cup of tea, it’s definitely unworthy to shell out your hard earned cash and ride the hype train(forget the god damn selfie, and get a well all rounded phone).
