Microsoft has finally unveiled the much awaited ‘Project Scorpio’ console at Microsoft Press Conference held at E3 2017. The console is officially entitled as Xbox One X and is a graphical prowess at its heart, whereas it also supports the backward compatibility of Xbox 360, while also running games from Xbox One.
The new console from Microsoft will rock a 6 teraflops of graphical power as opposed to Ps4 Pro’s 4.2 teraflops. The company has also stated that the console uses a custom GPU engine with a clock speed of 1172MHz, topping out the Xbox One’s 853MHz, and even the Playstation’s 911MHz. Alongside, the Xbox One X will also feature an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive for 4K movies and a 1TB of storage.
Microsoft has also equipped liquid-cooled vapor-chamber cooling inside, which can be seen on high-end graphic cards like GTX 1080. Not only this, the new console will also be able to run 900p and 1080p Xbox One games at native 4K. Despite packing all the goodness, Microsoft says that the Xbox One X is the “smallest Xbox ever”.
As for the game, the company[Microsoft] has promised 22 ‘console launch exclusive’, including Forza Motorsport 7, Crackdown 3, and Sea of Thieves. The company also gave some glimpse about the new Forza Motorsport 7 running at native 4K with 60fps. You can check the exclusive 5-minute gameplay below.
The new Xbox One X will go on sale from 7th of November carrying a price tag of $499. As for the Nepal, we expect the console to arrive through various third party resellers, with a price tag of 50-55,000 NRs.
