After unveiling A1 and A1 Plus, Gionee is set to bolster their smartphone lineup with a new budget-oriented smartphone. Dubbed as the Gionee X1, the phone will go on sale for the price tag of Rs. 13,999($136 approx.) in Nepal.
As far as specs are concerned, Gionee X1 won’t awe you in any way, and it’s okay, considering that it’s an entry level phone. The 4G supporting phone features a 5-inch 720p IPS display, while, inside, it is powered by MediaTek MT6737 chipset. Memory wise, the phone is backed up by 2GB[DDR3] of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.
The Gionee X1 sports an 8MP camera at the rear with f/2.2 aperture, whilst selfies are taken care by a similar 8MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture rate. Looking at the camera specs, it’s safe to say that Gionee is once again targeting the ‘selfie’ market. It boots on Android 7.0 Nougat and drags the power from a 3,000mAh battery.
Other features include a fingerprint scanner, a dual-SIM slot with 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi b/g/n, and A-GPS. The smartphone is now available for purchase in Nepal, with remaining countries in the list, including India, Philippines, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.
