The ever growing smartphone brands in Nepal shows no sign of stopping, and LeEco, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer is expected to join the race shortly. Though we are still unknown about the distributor, two new models including the LeEco Le S3 and Le Pro3 will soon go on flash sales through e-commerce sites in Nepal.
In case you’re wondering, to outline the specs, the LeEco Le S3 is a mid-range smartphone with the 5.5-inch 1080p display. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC coupled up with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage(without a slot for microSD card). There’s a 16MP camera at the back of the phone, while selfies are taken care by the 8MP front camera. LeEco Le S3 will go head to head against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Huawei GR5 2017.
Talking about the LeEco Le Pro3, it stands different from the mid-ranger, to be exact it comes with last year’s flagship specs. The handset sports a similar 5.5-inch display, a Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Optics wise, the device shines a 16MP sensor at the back with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there’s an 8MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video chats. Don’t let the specs fool you. The Snapdragon 821 is still a great chipset, and with an expected price of the phone to be around Rs. 40,000, it will be a treat.
Both of the aforementioned smartphones are expected to arrive with aggressive price tags(probably below Rs. 20,000 for Le S3), and in addition to that, the LeEco Le S3 is expected to pack CDLA earphone worth Rs. 3500. The craze about mid-range smartphones is growing more than ever and with the arrival of LeEco, it seems like it will only get more exciting.
