Another rumor about the new Galaxy A-series smartphone to feature the infinity display has popped up. This time, it’s the new Galaxy A5, which is expected to hit the market in 2018. The leaks also suggest that the phone will come in four different colors and will have a fingerprint sensor on its back.
Another important thing to look forward is the introduction of Samsung’s virtual assistant — the Bixby — in this phone. Its presence would introduce the assistant in mid-range category of smartphones from Samsung. The chipset of the phone would also be an interesting topic to watch out for as the phone might carry the Exynos 7885 chipset or the one from Snapdragon which might be a Snapdragon 660 chip, depending upon the market.
The new A5 might have a 4 or 6GB of RAM in its memory section but the users might have to be disappointed as it is rumored to boot on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and not the latest Oreo. The recent rumor also points out that the phone might carry a 16MP camera both on its rear and front side.
The Samsung Galaxy A5(2018) is expected to carry a decent 3,300mAh of battery, thus making it a reasonable choice for those who sought Samsung’s mid-range phones. However, these rumors should only be taken with a grain of salt, at least for now.
