There are apps which create the lock screen ads on our smartphones and notification bars. Most of the downloaded apps have ads in them. Ads are good until they are limited and informative but when they are everywhere from our apps to websites and pages that we access, we try to avoid and get rid of them.
Google had banned ads in the notification bar some years ago and now it’s banning the ads from popping up on the smart phone’s lock screen. Google has set some new rules on the developer’s monetization page with a section named Lock screen Monetization. The section states that:
“Unless it’s an exclusive lock screen app, it may not introduce ads which monetize the device’s lock screen.”
More specifically, if the app is designed to replace a device’s lock screen; it can’t display the ads whereas the third-party lock screen apps can still show ads. So, this new policy from Google is worth to look after.
