The Huawei Nova 2s is an elegant phone with elegant display, and four cameras.
While the Nova 2i went on to create lots of buzz in the market, Huawei was quick to admire the attention and launch its new Nova 2s with better specs. The Chinese company studied the market comprehensively and quadrupled the dual-camera trend, and the Nova 2s is no exception here. It comes with quad-cameras; two at the back and front.
Let’s talk about the specs. Highlighting the phone’s rear, there’s a dual-camera setup; the first one is a 16MP RGB sensor, while latter is a 20MP monochrome camera. Both cameras come with f/1.8 aperture. The front, though, comes with a pair of 20MP and 2MP cameras with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
The Huawei Nova 2s sports a Full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio resulting in a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Inside, the phone runs on Huawei’s Kirin 960 chipset, also found on the company’s P10 Plus. The handset will come in three memory variants, including 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage, and the last being 6GB RAM with 128GB storage.
Although the quad-camera is definitely a trendy thing in the market, Huawei also didn’t miss out on the chance to brag about its new face unlock feature. Which interestingly enough matches out on par with Apple’s Face ID performance, at least as claimed.
Huawei Nova 2s boasts a 3,340mAh battery with SuperCharge technology that will charge the phone from 0-50% in 30 minutes. The phone boots on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo on top of EMUI 8.0.
