Sony’s new 35mm full-frame mirrorless camera; A7R III is now officially available in Nepal. Nepa Hima Tradelink, the authorized distributors of Sony’s products in Nepal has gone on to unveil the camera for Rs. 3,76,950.
The new mirrorless camera from Sony is an upgrade from previously launched A7R II, while expectedly making it slightly large than its predecessor. Weighing just 657 grams, the camera comes with 42.4MP full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor which can shoot bursts at 10fps. Albeit high megapixel count, the sensor’s back-illuminated, gapless on-chip lens structure significantly increases light sensitivity and offers wide dynamic range.
On top of that, a new front-end LSI and BIONZ X greatly does a justice to camera’s capable sensor by boosting processing speed, while also providing 15-stop dynamic range at low ISO for exceptional stills. And with 5-axis image stabilization you are assured to get less blurry and shaky images.

Talking about the ISOs, the Sony A7R III has a wide range of ISO options. It offers ISOs ranging from 100-32000, also expandable to ISO 50-102400. There’s also Eye AF from Sony offering immediate and effective eye detection and tracking, allowing professionals to shoot a moving portrait object precisely.
For videos, the camera can capture 4K HDR footage, while a new HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) provides a wide dynamic range for highly precise and immersive movie images without colour correction. These type of features make the camera one of the best, if not the best in the business.
Other small, though important features include a USB Type-C port; handy for transferring heavy RAW files with a breeze. The camera supports Sony’s E-mount lenses, whilst features like NFC and Bluetooth 4.1 makes it an exquisite piece of tech.
Interested users can purchase the camera through Sony’s official showrooms located in Jawlakhel, Kantipath, and Labim Mall; all inside the Kathmandu valley.
