Xiaomi Mi A1 launched back in September, is an aesthetically pleasing phone, thanks to its metallic back, whilst the gold paint job does a great justice either. The phone did well among all groups of users, despite some limitation it had; mostly in colour option. Looks like it shouldn’t be a problem now. Vatsal Impex, the authorized distributors of Xiaomi products in Nepal has now officially brought the Red variant of Mi A1 in Nepal.
Albeit the minimal design change, the new variant still comprises of the same hardware. The 5.5-inch 1080p display is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3, whereas, inside is the Snapdragon 625 chipset. The RAM remains similar too with 4GB and the 64GB of onboard storage is ample for your usage.
The dual-camera is one of the main highlights of the Mi A1. The first one is a normal lens with 12MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture, while the latter is a telephoto lens with f/2.6 and 2x optical zoom. Technology like Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) is also present on the phone, and the fingerprint scanner can be seen just below the rear camera. Up front, the 5MP camera is to be used for selfies.
Let’s talk about the crown jewel of the phone; the software. The Mi A1, as you may know, is an Android One phone partnered with Google. This means you are assured to get the latest and greatest from Google without any bloatware. Although the phone comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, users do have an option to upgrade it to Android 8.0 Oreo. The stock Android, though, is something a loyal Xiaomi users might not be fond of, but just deal with it.
Powering the phone is a 3,080mAh battery chargeable through USB Type-C port. And for pricing, the Red variant of Xiaomi Mi A1 can be purchased for Rs. 29,999 in Nepal.
