After the launch of R3, Ambe Mobiles the sole distributors of Lava phones in Nepal has quickly followed up with yet another budget-centric phone. This time it is the Lava iris 50.
Let’s get quickly to the specs of the phone. The phone has a 5-inch FWVGA screen; that’s 854 x 480 pixel in resolution. Powering the phone is MediaTek’s MT6580 1.3GHz quad-core chipset and Mali-400 MP2 GPU. The RAM is 2GB and the storage is 16GB with an option for expansion.
For the camera, there’s nothing to be surprised either. It comes with a basic setup of the 5MP sensor at the rear with LED flash and a similar 5MP setup at the front for selfies.
The phone will run on a dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of Lava’s Star OS. And for the power, the phone will drag the juice from a 2,500mAh battery inside. Pricing of the handset is set at Rs. 9,999 in Nepal.
