The rumours have finally ended, Xiaomi has officially pulled the wrap of the new Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. And there’s no doubt that the mid-ranger from the Chinese manufacturer is the best in the business.
Let’s talk about the specs here. The Note 5 Pro has a 5.99-inch display, while inside is the new Snapdragon 636 chipset with 8 Kryo 260 CPU bearing a clock speed of 1.8GHz, while the GPU is Adreno 509 GPU. As for the memory, the phone comes in two variants; 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. Nonetheless, both are expandable via microSD card slot.
Optically, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is probably the best Redmi phone from the Company. The rear boasts a dual-camera setup; the first one is a normal 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, whilst the second comprises of 5MP f/2.0 depth sensor. The front’s no slouch either, there’s 20MP front camera with LED flash — one of the best from the company. The front camera is not limited to selfies only but helps run the phone’s Face ID technology; the first of its kind from Xiaomi.
The only thing that disappoints us is that it still has Android 7.0 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top. For pricing, the 4GB variant is priced at INR. 13,999, whereas the 6GB is set for INR. 16,999. That’s a steal, considering its solid specs. Your move, Xiaomi Nepal.
