Nepal Telecom has made the Namaste Credit Service official from today (16th Chaitra 2074 BS / 30th March 2018 AD). The Minister of the State for Communication and Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota made it official in a program held today.
In the same program, Mr. Baskota stated that the Namaste Credit Service has been launched so as to facilitate its users by Nepal Telecom, which is the first telecommunication service provider to launch the Prepaid service in Nepal. He also said that this service will aid to enhance the quality and competitiveness of the company. NTC Prepaid has the maximum number of users and coverage among other services of Nepal Telecom.
The Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Kamini Rajbhandari also stated that the Namaste Credit Service will turn out to be another milestone in the long journey of the company. She said that the users will be able to use the service even if they run out of balance thereby strengthening their trust in the company.
In brief, users now will be able to continue their call within the GSM and CDMA Prepaid network of the company even if they run out of main balance, using Namaste Credit. The credit amount ranges from NRs. 5 to NRs. 40 which is deducted later as the users recharge their balance. Similarly, no VAT will be applied to the credit amount.
Users who are using the Namaste Prepaid SIM cards for more than 3 months are only able to use the service.
How to use Namaste Credit Service
- To know the maximum credit amount: Type STATUS and send it to 1477
- To activate the service: Type START and send it to 1477
- To deactivate the service: Type STOP and send it to 1477
Note: Users will have to pay the credit amount taken to use the service again.
The credited amount can be used for calls, SMS, and data usage.
