As expected, OPPO has officially showcased their new R15 and R15 Dream Mirror. And it looks like the rumors have taken a shape here. Both phones pack a gorgeous screen, a notch, and revamped cameras.
OPPO R15
The OPPO R15 has a 6.28-inch OLED screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and of course a notch. The resolution is FullHD, i.e. 2280 x 1080 pixel, while the body is made up of glass at the rear and metal at the side. This certainly will scream premium while you get a hands on the phone.
Inside is the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset with an octa-core CPU, while the memory intensive tasks will be handled by a 6GB of RAM. There’s an ample 128GB of internal storage and a decent 3,450mAh battery with VOOC charging.
Alongside the refreshed glass back, changes can also be seen in the form of cameras. The dual-camera setup comprises of 16MP Sony IMX519 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, while the second is a 5MP one with the f/2.2 lens. The rear camera is capable of recognizing up to 120 scenes and add pro lighting effects with portrait mode, all thanks to Sony’s AI.
Like its back, the R15 has an equally powerful front camera. OPPO, being a selfie expert, has never compromised their selfie camera and it is no different here. It shines a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, whereas the support for bokeh effects is also there.
The OPPO R15 can be purchased in Snow White, Hot Red, and Star Purple color option for $473.

OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition
OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition is a beefed up version of the normal R15, at least in terms of internals. The display and the build quality remains same but the hardware is a little bit powerful. The R15 Dream Mirror Edition rocks a Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU. The RAM and storage are intact to R15 but the battery size is 50mAh small — i.e. it’s 3,400mAh.
Likewise, the rear camera is also same. However, the 20MP selfie camera gets an upgrade to the f/1.7 aperture for improved low-light selfies. OPPO’s AI thing is as always present in the handset, but the 8MP face portrait mode is only available to the R15 Dream Mirror Edition.
The R15 Dream Mirror Edition can be purchased in Dream Mirror Red color option for $520, while the Ceramic Edition is priced a bit higher at $552.
