The present condition of the mobile market is heavily focused on AI and most of the [smartphones] manufacturers are doing what they can to make the most out of it. And Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 700 series exactly offer what we consumers were expecting — AI’s in mid-range phones.
The new Snapdragon 700 series of Qualcomm chipsets will now power premium mid-rangers with AI technology just like its 800 series. The new chipset, while not so powerful than the 800 series is twice as superior to the 600 series — it just is a bridge between the 600 and 800 series of the chipset. As mentioned, it will use the Kyro CPU cores and Adreno GPU.
The new 700 series, as expected, will also come with an improved LTE support, Bluetooth 5 and WiFi. While being powerful it will also stay power efficient at the same time. As claimed by Qualcomm, the new chipset will offer 30 percent improvements on the power efficiency as opposed to the 660 SoC, whilst the Quick Charge 4.0 tech will top up the juice in short time.
Expect this powerful chipset from Qualcomm to power more mid-range devices with AI in coming days.
