As scheduled, OPPO has officially unveiled their another selfie expert OPPO F7 in Nepal. The new OPPO F7 hits the shelves of Nepali market after the success of OPPO F5 with a blend of trendy design, internals and an impressive set of cameras.
Let’s take a look at the crown jewel of the phone; the 25MP front camera. The phone, as claimed, is first of its kind to come with a higher megapixel count at the front. Moreover, the f/2.0 lens of the phone supports HDR offering users well-exposed images under different lighting conditions.
While we are certainly aware of its predecessor F5 coming with an AI beauty integration, the OPPO F7 has a similar but updated technology. The phone has an AI Beauty Integration 2.0. This new and revamped technology is expected to cover the flaws of your skin and selfies.
The AI is capable of detecting 296 facial feature spots, allowing it to tell if you are a male and female, your age, skin tone and adjust your beauty accordingly. Likewise, the device also comes with a Vivid mode which helps to provide more saturated images.
That’s not the only thing the front camera has to offer. It also makes use of the phone’s facial unlocking tech. As claimed, the smartphone uses 128 recognition spot to detect your face to unlock the phone. And then, there are those AR stickers that you can stick on to your photos.
Taking a look at the rear camera of the phone, it’s equally impressive. Although the phone misses out on the on-going dual-camera trend, the 16MP camera bears an equal prowess to what the front has to offer. The f/1.6 lens of the phone supports PDAF and can capture portrait images as well. Despite the lower megapixel sensor at the back sounding uncanny, we are pretty sure that it won’t be a disappointing or deal-breaking factor.
Camera aside, the OPPO F7 is aesthetically pleasing either. Especially with the newly launched color of Diamond Black. The glass back of the phone is equally complemented with a so-called Super Full Screen. It’s a 6.3-inch 2280 x 1080 pixel display with a trendy aspect ratio of 19:9.
At the helm of its heart is MediaTek Helio P60 chipset bearing a clock speed of 2.0GHz. The phone has two storage variants; both available in Nepal. The first one comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and the second has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Both variants support microSD card up to 256GB.
Running the phone is Android 8.1 Oreo on top of Color OS 5.0. The software looks typically like what a Chinese manufacturer would put on the table with gimmicky software features like AI Albums. Powering the phone is a decent 3,400mAh battery inside without a support for fast charging.
