The Toyota Rush has finally been rushed into the Nepali market. United Traders Syndicate, the authorized sole distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nepal, has introduced a new 2018 SUV, the Toyota Rush in Nepali market with a starting price of Rs. 59,90,000. The Pre-booking of the second gen SUV has been started.
As an SUV, it is obviously big in size. The exterior seems to be inspired by the elder SUVs, as it gets extended lines covering the body, built in roof rail, and modern design elements giving Rush its own new character. The Rush has got sculpted bumpers, chrome slatted grille, aggressively positioned air dam with dedicated slots for the fog lamps, LED headlamps with DRLs and integrated tail-lamp. There’s modest use of cladding underneath the body and 220mm ground clearance for the overall styling and practicality standing on the 17″ alloy wheels.
The interior of the SUV seems premium and is up to the marked as one would expect from the Japanese manufacturer. The dashboard features 7.0-inch touch infotainment system with reverse parking display that comes with USB and Smartphone compatibility.
The dashboard and steering wheel is surrounded by the leather to give it more premium appearance. The instrument console has blue and white backlighting and the steering wheel features buttons for different controls. It also features climate control, integrated lighting system, pushes start/stop system and keyless entry. The long body SUV features the seven seats and ample of space inside for comfort experience.
Toyota Rush houses a 1496cc 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 104 PS at 6000 rpm with a torque of 136 Nm at 4200 rpm. The transmission of the vehicle is mated with 5-speed manual transmission and top spec model comes with 4-speed automatic gearbox.
For the safety, Toyota claims to have best in class features which include six airbags and systems like Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control System, Emergency Signal System, Antilock Braking System and Hill-Start Assist Control embedded in the vehicle.
The second gen Toyota Rush is completely a new package as it gets new design elements that distinguished it from the previous model. The SUV seems to be more matured as it features a modern essential that makes it one of the good-looking SUVs in the market.
