Most Musical.ly users already know about it been replaced by a new name. For those who don’t, the popular Musical.ly is now replaced by TikTok.
Musical.ly was acquired by a Chinese company ByteDance in November 2017. And, the company has now soaked the app in TikTok.
The existing Musical.ly users’ accounts have already been moved into their new TikTok accounts, which features modish interface yet grasping the same core idea of both the apps — short 15 seconds videos.
Musical.ly recently reached over 100 million monthly active users and looks like a major role player for ByteDance company from China in order to penetrate US market. TikTok app has already made a mark being the world’s most downloaded app in iOS platform, in the first quarter of 2018, says US research firm Sensor Tower.
On the other hand, the app operates as Doujin in China and has a massive 300+ million monthly active users.
Both TikTok and Musical.ly are used for making and sharing 15-second videos but Musical.ly users could also perform lip-sync, and dance over music in the platform, which TikTok will miss, while other features will be present.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Musical.ly users will react to these changes and how the app will perform in the US market.
