Vivo has simply not put a break on their launches in Nepal. After the launch of the Y81, the Vivo Y85 joins the ever-growing list of Vivo’s smartphone lineup. It’s also one of the many to go the notch route and a tall aspect ratio.
The Vivo Y85 is definitely beautiful on paper, thanks to its huge 6.3-inch IPS LCD display. The notched display in return offers a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Driving the pixel is a decent Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz and an Adreno 506 GPU. The RAM is 4GB and the internal storage is 32GB that can be expanded up to 256GB through microSD card.
Despite the low-end internals, the Vivo Y85’s camera shouldn’t be taken for granted, at least on paper. The phone possesses a dual 13MP + 2MP sensor with PDAF. The first one is a normal sensor, whilst the second is a depth sensor. There’s also a dual-LED flash just below the camera hump. Selfies are taken care of by a 16MP front camera with an f/2.0 lens.
Running the phone is Android 8.1 Oreo on top of Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box. The battery capacity sits at 3,260mAh and can be charged through an outdated microUSB 2.0 port.
Vivo Y85 Price in Nepal
Regardless of what it comes with or not, the main thing here is its price. The Vivo Y85 is set at Rs. 29,990 in Nepal which is steep given that there are numbers of other smartphones that offers more value for money. Call it foolishness or audacity from Vivo, the Y85 is not a smartphone that you should be getting right now. And this makes things obscure for us about how the device will perform in terms of not only day to day usage but also sales.
