After being launched in India, the Honda X-Blade has now hit the roads of Nepal. The bike’s look is quite similar to its elder sibling the Hornet but there’s a whole lot of cosmetic changes which makes the bike looks much more aggressive. The X-Blade was first showcased on the recent NADA Auto Show 2018 which managed to grab a lot of people’s attention. The X-Blade is now available at Rs. 2,85,900 in Nepal.
The Honda X-Blade houses a sharp design language as the extended fuel tank looks muscular fuel tank, a transformer inspired headlamp design, taller fly screen, underbelly cowl, and dual outlet muffler. It is equipped with features like a digital instrument cluster with gear shift indicator, hazard light, and service reminder. Apart from that, it gets LED lighting for both the headlamp and the tail lamps. And unlike Hornet, the X-Blade gets a single-saddle unit instead of split seats.
The Honda X-Blade borrows the same 162.71cc from the Hornet which is air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 14PS of power at 8,500rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6000rpm. This motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine, however, is slightly tuned for this bike which makes a less power than that compared to the Hornet. It also gets the engine
There’s a diamond-type frame on telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the rear. And it gets 276mm disc brakes at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear. The bike does not even get Honda’s own Combi Braking system so forget about the ABS. It can hold up to 12-litre of fuel and weights at 140kg (kerb). And as other Honda bike, it still misses out the engine kill switch.
The Honda X-Blade comes in five different colors, including Metallic Blue, Pearl Black, Matte Silver, Pearl Red, and Matte Green.
