After all the rumors and hype, TVS Apache RR 310 has been officially launched in Nepal. Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributors of TVS bikes in Nepal has launched the TVS Apache RR 310 (Akula) at NADA Auto Show 2018. The Apache RR 310 is the first motorcycle after TVS Motors aligned with BMW Motorrad, which flourished alongside the BMW G310R. The TVS Apache RR 310 — the company’s first ever flagship — can be purchased for MRP of Rs. 7,79,900 in Nepal.
Talking about the design, the Apache RR 310 has an edgy and sharp design, which looks appealing. On top of that, the company claims that the bike has been wind tunnel tested extensively. The twin LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, tall windscreen and racing stripe are all there, placing it on the list with the likes of other high-end sports bike. The Apache RR 310 comes with a 41mm upside down forks finished in a gold accent which results in sporty looks.
The RR 310 is equipped with a full-digital, vertically arranged instrument panel with multiple information displays, including a lap timer and of course a gear indicator. Being TVS Motors’ flagship product the company did not hesitate to maintain its premium quality level, which also tends to be its main highlight. On the other hand, the bike comes with very high-quality standards and paint finish. Quality of plastics and fitment of panels are all superior and looks promising. The motorcycle comes in 2 impressive colors, including Racing Red and Sinister Black.
Shifting the focus to the engine, the Apache RR 310 comes with 312cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine that’s similar to BMW G310R which outputs 34 PS @ 9700 rpm and 27.3 NM @ 7700 rpm. The engine is accompanied by 6-speed super-slick gearbox that offers a precise and sharp race-shift experience.
TVS Motors has stated that the bike will go 0-60kmph time of 2.93 seconds while gaining a top speed of 160kmph. The engine uses a reverse inclined architecture which is leaned towards the rear of the motorcycle and has its intake towards the front and the exhaust towards the rear. Thankfully, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system will be available as standard.
