As expected, Samsung has taken the wrap off the Galaxy A8s that has a circular camera cut-out in it. The circular camera cut-out, also known as the Infinity-O display, highlights the selfie camera of the phone.
Let’s see some of the specifications the phone has to offer.
The Samsung Galaxy A8s is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chip. The phone comes with the options of 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage with memory expansion option up to 512GB via microSD card.
As for the camera, A8s has a triple-camera set-up on the rear side, similar to that of Galaxy A7; a 24MP f/1.7 normal lens, a secondary 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and the final one is a 5MP lens with f/2.2 aperture used for depth sensing. Likewise, the front it features a 24MP sensor within circular cut-out. Just below is an immersive 6.4-inch screen that has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixel and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The price of the phone has not been official yet while pre-orders are said to open on December 21, 2018.
Also, there are rumors suggesting that the upcoming flagship of Samsung — Galaxy S10 in 2019 might come up with the same Infinity-O display.
Similarly, other brands, few from China, i.e. Huawei recently announced its Nova 4 device with a similar circular camera cut-out design to be launched on December 17, 2018, also we’ve now Honor View 20, which will be official on December 26 in China and January 22nd worldwide that has a similar hole-punch display idea, as well as there are leaks, which suggest Lenovo looking forward to coming up with the same idea of removing a notch and introducing a circular camera cut-out design in its devices.
Samsung looks intentional in adding up more appealing features in its mid-range tier smartphones now as there are other brands, especially from China that seem to come up with more features in the mid-range budget.
