Samsung has announced two tablets: Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1. The former will hit the market in the second quarter of 2019 while nothing is spoken regarding the release of the later one.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e
The Galaxy Tab S5e is Samsung’s thinnest tablet ever, measuring 245.0 x 160.0 x 5.5mm and features an AMOLED screen, LTE connectivity, and an integrated DeX.
Similarly, you’ll find two storage configuration in the tablet: 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. And there are variants based on the network as well — a WiFi-only variant and LTE-capable one. We’re seeing the WiFi only variant in the Q2 2019 while the LTE-capable one will come in subsequent months.
The Galaxy Tab S5e is priced at $399.99 for the Wi-Fi only model. And the LTE version starts at $460, suggests Samsung Germany website.
Talking about the specifications of the device, you’re getting a 10.5-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixel) Super AMOLED display, slim bezels, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 81.8% screen-to-body ratio. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 670 processor. There’s a memory expansion option for up to 512GB via microSD card.
Tab S5e carries a 13MP lens on the rear and an 8MP lens on the front. There are a total of four speakers in the tablet made upon Dobly Atmos technology and hardware that is tuned by AKG. Also, it has a USB Type-C port (Generation 3.1) and a pogo connector for connecting a keyboard, which you have to purchase separately.
Again, it runs on Android 9.0 Pie with other features like Bixby 2.0, integrated DeX, Quick command etc. A 7,040 mAh battery handles all the tasks of the device that also supports fast charging.
Galaxy Tab S5e is available in three different color options: Black, Gold, and Silver.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is priced less than the Tab S5e, i.e. EUR 210 for the WiFi-only model and EUR 270 for LTE version. It’ll be available from April 5, 2019, in Germany while regarding wider availability, there are no official statements.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 carries a 10.1-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It’s powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7904 processor. And you’re getting a 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage with expansion option up to 400GB via microSD card.
On the side of the camera, Tab A 10.1 has an 8MP lens on the rear and a 5MP lens on the front. It has a 6,150 mAh battery to support your tablet usage. It also has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support and can be connected to an external keyboard via pogo pin port.
