Good news for OnePlus fans, the OnePlus 7 Pro is now available for pre-orders in Nepal. For those who have been eagerly anticipating the launch of the flagship could finally get their hands on, albeit for an absurd amount.
The OnePlus 7 Pro brings a lot of new features to the table; one being a 6.67-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED screen that is HDR10+ compliant. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother animations and quick touch responses. The device’s stupendous bezel-less screen has no notch whatsoever, thanks to the pop-up camera.
The pop-up holds a 16MP selfie camera that goes up and down depending on your need. Movable parts are always scary and susceptible to breakage and damage but not with this one. OnePlus claims that the mechanism has been tested with up to 300,000 cycles and also has a safety feature to prevent it from breaking down when you drop your phone.
Alongside the front, OnePlus also manages to achieve a clear back by thoughtfully moving the fingerprint scanner under the display. According to the company, it is twice as large as the scanner and also much faster than on the OnePlus 6T.
Moving on, you see a change on the back; triple-camera setup for practical scenarios. This also helps OnePlus 7 Pro to come with a number of firsts. The primary shooter has a 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2″ sensor with f/1.6 aperture, OIS and EIS. It also has OnePlus’ new UltraShot feature which enables the HDR+ mode to allow to capture 4x as much as light. This should be useful while capturing low-light shots.
The main sensor goes one-on-one with an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom with an f/2.4 lens which comes with OIS, while the third one is a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with 117-degree field of view. Remaining features include a dual-LED flash and laser autofocus for the convenience.
Aside from capable cameras, the OnePlus 7 Pro offers media junkies a Dolby certified stereo speakers which should sound much better than previous models.

OnePlus has always been known to pack a lot for the buck internally. And this holds true in the case of the Pro model as well. The OnePlus 7 Pro has Snapdragon 855 chipset with 10-layer vapor chamber cooling. The lowest of the variant has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage, while the highest one has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The OnePlus 7 Pro, in fact, is the first phone to offer a UFS 3.0 storage which should considerably improve the performance.
A powerful chipset needs a powerful battery and as a companion, the Pro gets a pretty good 4,000mAh battery. It might not last as long as previous models, or even the non-Pro model but with WarpCharge 30 the phone’s juice will be filled in no time.
Also, the cooling technology of WarpCharge in combination with the phone’s extreme vapor cooling allows it to stay cool even while you game and charge the phone at the same time. However, there’s no wireless charging support here.
OnePlus 7 Pro Price in Nepal and Should you buy it?
Let’s get down to the business — the price. The OnePlus 7 Pro, as its price suggests, is an extravagant phone; coming side-by-side against the likes of Galaxy S10 and even iPhones.
The base variant — i.e. 6/128GB is priced at Rs. 89,900, the mid-tier one with 8/256GB comes in at Rs. 99,900, while the fully maxed out one with 12/256GB configuration will cost you a whopping Rs. 109,000 in Nepal. This price comes into the territory of S10s and P30s which offers better features, a much better camera and a great after sales support in Nepal. But then again, the OnePlus offers some features that no other phones could, period.
