Xiaomi launches Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro; the K20 Pro labeled as the “Flagship Killer 2.0”. Both these devices carry 48MP main cameras, OLED displays with the under-display fingerprint scanner embedded in them, and elevating cameras.
The vanilla K20 houses the Snapdragon 730 while the K20 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 855.
Both the devices come with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There’s a pop-up camera for selfie thereby resulting in a full display with very thin bezels. The K20 Pro offers 6/8GB RAM and 64/256GB internal storage options.
About the camera, K20 Pro carries a triple camera set-up on the back — a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera, a 13MP secondary camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a topmost placed 8MP telephoto lens camera. It can record slow-mo video at 960fps. On the front of both Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, is an elevating 20MP selfie camera lens with AI capabilities.
The Redmi K20 Pro houses a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast-charging support. In numbers, it’s said to charge 58% in 30 minutes and charge the battery fully in 74 minutes.
The K20 devices bring a lot in the table for gaming as well with Game Turbo 2.0 that also implements a smart switch to get users from Wi-Fi to 4G networks to ensure good connectivity without a lag.
About the Redmi K20, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 730 built on 8nm technology. It has the same display and camera set-up as in its Pro version but uses the Sony IMX582 sensor. The battery on the phone is also the same 4,000mAh one but charges at 18W.
The Redmi K20 is priced at CNY1,999 and CNY2,099 for 6/64GB and 6/128GB variants respectively. It’ll be available in Red and Blue colors.
Similarly, the K20 Pro will come in four regular variants and a fifth variant entitled Avengers Edition that comes along with some goodies in the retail box. However, we don’t know about the price for the limited edition device. The price of the regular K20 Pro variants are:
