After launching Honor 8A and Honor 20 Lite, Honor is gearing up for yet another launch in Nepal; this time it is the Honor 8S. The 8S is an affordable offering from Honor that comes with entry-level specs.
To talk about the specs, the phone’s got a 5.71-inch of LCD screen that has a 19:9 aspect ratio. It, thus, manages to achieve that through minimal bezels and a teardrop notch at the top which also hides a 5MP f/2.2 selfie snapper upfront.
As for the rear camera, the phone has nothing special to offer — it’s just a single 13MP sensor with f/1.8 lens and PDAF support.
Internally, the hardware matches most of the entry-level phones out there: a MediaTek MT6761 quad-core chipset that has either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage respectively. The phone also supports microSD card for expansion and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 support and a 3,020mAh battery that can be charged via microUSB port.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 8S is expected to launch in Nepal within July for a starting price of around NPR 15-16,000 and will be available through retailers located across the country.
UPDATE: The Honor 8S is now available for Rs. 12,500 in Nepal.
