Google has already said a ‘NO’ to desserts for the Android versions to come, leading the next version of Android to be simply named “Android 10”. The title is now straightforward and the Android branding is updated. At the same time, HMD, the company behind Nokia phones, has also announced its agenda for Android 10 updates, thus listed phones that will get updates for the latest version along with the arrival time over the next half year.
Although dates vary, HMD plans 17 phones for Android 10. Just later this year, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, and the more recent Nokia 9 PureView will get the Android 10 update, while other devices will have to wait. And the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, and Nokia 1 are getting the update next year.

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global said as part of the announcement, “We were the fastest manufacturer to upgrade from Android Oreo to Android Pie across the range and with today’s rollout plan we look set to do it even faster for Android Pie to Android 10 upgrades.”

Similarly, HMD Global recently extended security updates for an extra year on its earliest Android handsets, however, none of them are getting the update for Android 10. Almost all the handsets released from HMD Global/Nokia got Android 9 Pie, excluding Nokia 2.
