Laxmi Intercontinental has finally launched the subcompact SUV the Hyundai Venue at the starting price of Rs. 34,96,000 in Nepal. The Hyundai Venue will be available in four variants. The SUV will take on the competition with the Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza and Ford’s EcoSport.
The overall design of the subcompact SUV looks quite boxier and gets the same treatment in different parts like the headlamps, tail lamps, and also in interiors. The front looks beefier with the massive cascading grille with the chrome mesh grille, while the strip LED DRLs sits above the split headlamps which comes with projector lens on the top variants. The SUV also comes with projector fog lamps.
The side profile also looks muscular with the big wheel arch and lines. The rear got a strong proportion to match the entire funky look. In terms of dimensions, the new Venue measures at 3995 mm in length, 1770mm in width, and 1590 mm in height. The wheelbase measures at 2500mm.

The interior is quite simply laid out and gets an all-black treatment. It comes with segment-first feature list which includes wireless charging, air purifier, 8-inch HD display screen (compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), eco-coating, Arkamys Sound, wheel air curtains, etc. Another important feature it offers is the Hyundai’s Blue Link connectivity tech which helps to remote engine start/stop, remote climate control, voice recognition, vehicle relationship management and much more.
The Hyundai Venue also features an electric sunroof, cruise control, rear AC vents, cornering lamps and a cooled glove box. It also gets an instrument console in a dual-pod unit with a large MID unit in the centre. It is powered by three engine options including the new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor that is configured to produce 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. The motor is coupled up with an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission along with a manual gearbox.
There’s also the 1.2-litre petrol variant that offers 82 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque and is offered with a 5-speed manual. Lastly, there is the 1.4-litre diesel as well with 89 bhp and 220 Nm of peak torque and is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of safety, the Hyundai Venue gets six airbags, speed-sensing door lock, ABS with ESC, VSP, Hill Assist Control, BAS, ISOFIX seats and more.
