The all-new Jeep Compass TrailHawk has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 1,24,90,000. The newly launched Jeep Compass TrailHawk has resemblance to the ‘normal’ Compass but gets certain changes like matt black decal on the hood, redesigned skid plates and bumpers, black grille, 17-inch heavy-duty alloy wheels, Tow hook at rear, the TrailHawk badge, and the Trail Rated badge gives the hint that it’s a hardcore version of the Jeep Compass. The ground clearance is up by 27 mm to 205 mm.
The Jeep Compass TrailHawk is powered by the same 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine which powers the Compass diesel; it churns out 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Likewise, it now gets a mechanically lockable 4WD system that calculates the exact power which needs to be sent to the required wheel. It also gets a 4WD Low setting and a Rock mode in addition to the other Select-Terrain system: snow, sand, and mud to its 4×4 system.
The interior gets all blacked out instead of dual-tone and is highlighted by the body color accents and stitching. The interior is dominated by 8.4-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch instrument cluster, cruise control, and automatic gearbox. What it misses out are automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, and power driver seats.
On the safety list, it gets a side and curtain airbags, ESC, Traction control, Hill-start assist, Hill-decent control, Electronic parking brakes, etc.
