Smartphone manufacturer doesn’t seem to waste any time in trying to implement Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 64MP sensor technology. Realme is already gearing up for the launch as they are coming up with a quad-camera setup on August 8 using the same technology. And Xiaomi seems desperate to win this race as it has already invited media representatives to a demo day prior to Realme’s launch; i.e. August 7.
Xiaomi will supposedly use the technology on its Redmi smartphone and will output 20 MB images using the sensor. This information seems already enough. Also, Xiaomi will be revealing how it works in its image processing laboratory where the camera department is working.
Similarly, although minor, Redmi might come up with an actual smartphone with the new Bright GW1 sensor. K20 Pro, which is its current flagship has the Bright GM1 platform with Quad Bayer layer to produce 12MP images on a 48MP sensor, which is already imposing.
This new 64MP sensor makes use of Tetracell (Samsung’s Quad-Bayer brand). So brace yourself for some breathtaking 16MP images on the money.
