The successors to Redmi Note 7 series have arrived as Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Redmi Note 8 costs less in the series while the Pro version, i.e. Redmi Note 8 Pro, comes with a 64MP camera, which is the very first to get announced in the world.

The phone carries four cameras at the back: a 48MP main sensor based on Samsung’s latest ISOCELL GM2 technology, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP dedicated macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Also, there’s a fingerprint sensor on the back of it. On the front is a 13MP camera housed in a notch.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first device to be launched with a 64MP camera based on Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor and quad-binning pixel technology.
It sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with near to no bezels. To put things into perspective the bottom bezel of the phone is just 4.2mm thick. About cameras, there are four of them on the back arranged vertically. The main camera is a 64MP sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. While on the front is a 20MP selfie shooter housed in a notch. The front camera is provided with plenty of AI features and scene recognition options.

Again, it’s the first phone from the sub-brand to carry a liquid cooling chamber that offsets the expected heating from the gaming chipset. And users get to connect to both to Wi-Fi and 4G simultaneously thereby enjoy smooth gaming.
It’s available in Black, Green, and White colors and is scheduled to make its way in September. The pricing starts from CNY1,399 ($195) for 6/64 GB variant and CNY1,799 ($250) for the 8/128 GB variant.
