Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd the authorized distributors for TATA Motors in Nepal has officially launched the TATA H5 (Harrier) at the NADA Auto Show. Pricing starts from Rs. 56,55,000 for the XE variant in Nepal.
The TATA H5 is based on the Jaguar Land Rover D8 platform which results in an increase in its overall size and is derived from the Land Rover’s Discovery Sports as it shares the same chassis. Its length is about 4598mm, width is 1894mm, and has a height of 1706mm. The wheelbase is 2741mm which is the longest in its class.
The TATA H5 looks bold, aggressive, and sporty with its design elements from Tata’s Impact Design 2.0. The front end looks aggressive with its high hood-line and broad grille with LED DRLs replacing the HID Xenon headlamp which has been positioned just below them. The side profile of the Harrier looks muscular by its exaggerated wheel arches, creases, and bold claddings. The floating roof gives the H5 more SUV like stance. And the rear profile complements the overall design with sharp creases on the tailgate, extended LED tail lamps along with bold claddings.

The interior of the SUV is also upmarket as it gets faux wooden treatment and soft-touch materials around the cabin. The use of chrome further enhances the interior. It gets 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and floating 8.8-inch infotainment touch screen that comes with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Apart from that, it gets leather upholstery, automatic climate control, 9 JBL speakers, and logo projection on the outer mirrors. It offers the boot space of 425l.
The Harrier is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder 1956cc turbo-diesel engine that churns out 140PS of power @ 3750 rpm and 350Nm of torque @ @1750-2500 rpm mated with a six-speed gearbox. The engine resembles the Jeep Compass; however, detuned in the Tata. The H5 comes with three driving modes: Eco, City, and Sport. There’s also an option for rough and wet terrains. Safety features like six airbags and ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), mitigation control, hill assist and brake assist are on offered.
