Borderlands 3 — which was launched worldwide on September 13, 2019, on both PC and Console — has not got a start as the developer would have wanted. After its release, many fans, mainly PC gamers, hopped right into the game to experience the game first hand. But their experience was not as they expected.
In the game — as reported on Reddit and Resetera — few PC players have caught stuttering which seems to happen at random. It happened mostly when they are in a new area and tried to aim or rather while moving the camera. Apparently, some have found a solution to this current problem; either changing the setting of Volumetric Fog and Material Complexity to medium or rather changing everything on low settings and slowly changing it to their desired settings.
Another reason for the stuttering maybe as a result of putting the game on texture streaming. So, you might wanna change it to a more preferable setting for the game.
Moreover, many performance issues of the game can be solved by closing the Epic Launcher after the game opens. DirectX 12 is also identified as the reason for the game’s low performance. So, for now, you might reconsider these things before you play the game.
Also, the PS4 Pro is having a hard time maintaining 60fps in its performance mode and experiencing stutter in the game. Similarly, even with the top of the line hardware, PC users are also having difficulty in maintaining 60fps in the upper-end in the game.
All in all, users will have to expect many issues that’s gonna surface while playing the game as there are also several reports outside of performance issues. So until Gearbox fixes these issues users should play in more preferable setting to run the game smoothly.
