Vivo has come up with its new Vivo S5. It’s a 6.44-inch device with a 20:9 Super AMOLED display that has a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 91.38% screen-to-body ratio.
The Vivo S5 gets powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC paired with an 8GB of RAM. And it comes in two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB. Similarly, the phone runs on Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9.2 skin on top.
The upper right corner of the display in Vivo S5 gets a punch hole housing a 32MP selfie sensor. The display too comprises an under-display fingerprint sensor technology.
As for the camera, Vivo S5 carries a quad-camera set-up on the rear side in a diamond-shaped formation, i.e. a 48MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, a 5MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. These cameras are aided with a super beauty algorithm and poster correction feature thereby includes 144 poses, which helps users pose better in front of the camera.
This device carries a 4,100mAh battery with 22.5 fast-charging technology. It comes in three different colors – Icelandic Blue, Phantom Blue, and Star Black.
As for the pricing of Vivo S5, it costs CNY2,698 ($385/€350) for the 8GB/128GB variant and CNY2,998 ($427/€390) for double the storage.
The device will be up for sale in China starting from 22nd November 2019 while we are still unknown about its launch in other markets.
