Chinese smartphone brands have a very good number of consumers in the Nepalese market as of now. To name a few, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo currently dominate the majority of shares in the market. However, Gionee didn’t make its appearance since the end of 2018 due to bankruptcy.
But the brand still remains to date, and it has announced its new phone, the Gionee Steel 5. It’s an entry-level handset with 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 720p resolution.
Similarly, the smartphone boasts a square-shaped camera bump making space for a 12MP main sensor alongside a 2MP depth sensor and two LED flashes. And at the front is a 13MP selfie shooter housed in a teardrop notch.
The Steel 5 carries an impressive 5,000mAh battery, a forte that Gionee was once known for. The fast charge, however, gets up to around 10W only. Other features include 4G connectivity and dual SIM card slots.
Moreover, the device runs on Android 9 Pie with AmigoOS skin on top. As for memory configuration, it comes in two different variants — a 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. While the processor used in the device is yet to be known. For now, we know that it’s an octa-core one.
Also, other information on Gionee Steel 5 including its price and availability are to be announced as well.
